Dish boxes
The double wall construction is designed to protect glassware, dishes, lamps, other fragile items, small kitchen appliances, and small electronics. When packing, start by padding the bottom with 3 inches of crumpled paper. Work in layers using plenty of crushed paper in between while simultaneously wrapping pieces individually. Larger items, such as plates, go on the bottom in a vertical placement to reduce stress on the dishware. Cups, glasses, and stemware should be placed upright, not flat.
Fill all empty spaces with extra crushed paper. Mark these boxes as "fragile," and keep them together in a safe place. Cross out any old markings and do not use any box that might not withstand lifting and stacking.
Packing paper
Wrap your dishes, glassware, and fragile items in packing paper for extra padding. Do not use newspaper, as ink will leak onto your belongings. Stock is available in 25 lb. bundles.
Wardrobe boxes
We do offer packing and unpacking services for all your closet clothing. The rental fee for boxes is $5 or you can purchase them for $15.
Packing tape
Always use plastic packing tape on top and bottom of boxes. Do not use masking tape! One roll will tape about 25 boxes.
